Terms of Service

The site

The site publishes articles, project descriptions and background information. It is a personal site, offered as it is and without a service level or availability guarantee. Content and features may change or be removed at any time.

Accounts and sign-in

Signing in is optional and works with a magic link sent to your email address or with a Google account. You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in.

Accounts that are used abusively may be suspended or removed.

Comments and other contributions

Comments require signing in. Keep contributions relevant and civil; do not post unlawful content, hate speech, harassment, spam, malware, other people's personal data, or material you have no right to publish.

You keep the rights to what you write, but you grant permission to display, store and moderate your contribution on this site. Comments may be edited, hidden or deleted at the site owner's discretion, including without prior notice.

The same applies to review feedback submitted on draft articles through the site's API.

Content and intellectual property

Articles, images and other material on the site are owned by Jarkko Lietolahti unless stated otherwise. Some articles are produced together with AI tools, which is noted on the site.

You may read, link to and quote the content with attribution. Republishing whole articles, or using the content for commercial purposes or for training AI models, requires written permission.

Machine-readable access

Published articles are also available as Markdown and through a documented endpoint intended for AI agents and other automated readers. Use it at a reasonable rate and identify your client honestly.

The management API requires an API key issued by the site owner. Do not attempt to access unpublished content, other people's data, or the site's administrative features without authorisation.

No professional advice

Articles reflect personal opinions and experience at the time of writing. They are not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and no guarantee is given that the content is accurate, complete or up to date.

Liability

The site is used at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of the site or of its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Privacy

Personal data processing is described separately in the privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated as the site changes; the date below shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by Finnish law, and disputes are handled by the competent court in Finland. Consumers may also use the dispute resolution bodies available to them under Finnish law.
