LookFlow Cursor — Privacy Policy
Effective 13 September 2026
LookFlow Cursor is a macOS app by Jarkko Lietolahti that moves the mouse pointer to the display you are looking at. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Summary
- The app has no network connection of its own. It sends nothing anywhere.
- Camera images are processed on your Mac and are never uploaded or stored as video.
- Everything the app saves stays in its own sandboxed folder on your Mac. You can delete it at any time.
- No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
Camera
The app uses your camera to estimate which display you are looking at and, optionally, to recognize a confirming nod. Frames are analyzed on-device with Apple's Vision framework. Frames are not saved and not transmitted. The camera runs only while you keep it on, and the app shows a live indicator while it is running.
What the app stores on your Mac
All files live inside the app's sandbox container in your user Library.
- Calibration: derived numeric features from your eyes and head pose, your display layout, and camera settings. These numbers cannot be turned back into an image.
- Event log: timestamps of tracking state changes and pointer moves, used for the diagnostics window and for local troubleshooting.
- Settings: your pace and mode preferences.
- Face-loss snapshots (optional, off by default): if you turn this on, the app saves a few JPEG stills and a JSON note when tracking is lost, to help you diagnose lighting or camera placement. These may show your face and surroundings. Turning the setting off stops new snapshots; previously saved files stay until you delete them. "Open snapshots folder" in the diagnostics window shows where they are.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data.
- It does not use third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising or tracking.
- It does not read screen content or control other applications. It only moves the pointer.
Deleting your data
Quit the app and remove its container folder, or use "Open local data" in the diagnostics window and delete the files. Uninstalling the app removes the container.
TestFlight and the App Store
If you install through TestFlight, Apple may collect crash reports, usage statistics and the feedback you choose to send, under Apple's own terms. That data is handled by Apple, not by this app.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
Changes to this policy will be published at this address with a new effective date.
